Stuff that works. at least sometimes.

Hello World!

If the goal would be to make this a professional portfolio, I could go on describe my skills in an exaggerated way, but that's boring. I spend way too much time inside "engineering" all kinds of systems, mostly without really knowing what I'm doing, but it works out somehow most of the time.

Hello, there!

I'm Dwarslooper - a backend-focused developer on level 17 from Cologne in Germany. I experiment with computer stuff on the internet, mostly related to overengineering complex software for a silly block game. I mainly build backend infrastructure with a focus on data handling and storage, networking and security, and enjoy designing software that feels reliable, (mostly) intentional and (accidentally) insanely overengineered. Everything relevant has been said; now I have nothing left to add - except that I like pizza.
Networking Efficient HTTP, TCP and Websocket based cross-service communication
SQL & Data Schema design, relational infrastructure and general data storage
Security By design. Not obscurity. Stop concatinating user input into SQL!
Web Development Not professionally, but still sometimes. And yes, I know how to center a div!!1!11!

What I've been doing.

2020-2021

Hello, World!

So that's what I wanna do. Built the first version of my personal website, created Minecraft Minigames with Datapacks and helped build a small Minecraft Network.

2022-2023

Block game stuff

Focused primarily on Minecraft Server and Client development and bug hunting, joined in on the fight against pay to win servers, built first actual server infrastructure and client modifications.

2023-2026

The Cactus Era

So.. I did a thing. Started a new test project, which then later turned into a niche client modification for QoL, utility systems and building utilities, also known as Cactus Mod. Also focused more on general backend architecture and networking, as well as starting to build a new Minecraft Server Network from scratch in mid 2025.

I don't take commissions, but if you have a cool project yourself or want to join in on one of mine, let's talk :) You can preferrably reach me on Discord. I usually respond pretty quickly (since I have no life).
